when i grow up...

"I want to play football. But, I also want to own a store, if I can. A cheap one, like Aldi's. But, I would put the food in the opposite order. Now, when you walk in, there's all the chips and candy. But, in my store, I'd put all the healthy food first...so that people would not run out of money before they get to the healthy food..."

Keep in Mind, he's a Kindergartner...

Me (jenna): Hey, Miles. Are you excited about Grandpeople day at school?
Miles: Yeah...uhh...Is the Nelson side of the family coming?
Me (smirking): Yes.

(I've never known Miles to call the Nelson side of the family anything but "Nana" and "Pop Pop")

I've been in Kindergarten for a month

And...

"There are at least 100 things I don't like about it. I don't like recess. I don't know what to do. I'm tired of my old game. And I think I'm going to retire from 'Boys' Club' for awhile."

a game my brother made up

Name: Animal Kubb (pronounced Koob)
What you need: "1,000 plastic animals" (more like 20 or more)
How do you get started? "You pick out your animals." (equally, taking turns like choosing a team in kickball)
How do you play? "You take turns throwing your biggest animal and trying to knock down all the other persons animals. So, whatever animals you knock down in a turn, you collect and add to your team of animals." (There's one throw for each turn, I think they say that a leaning animal counts as one knocked over. Oh! And NO sidearm throws!)
How do you win? "Winning is knocking down and collecting all the other person's animals." (Over the course of several turns. This game can last hours!)
